Estate Planning and Administration
Peace of Mind for You and Your Family
The goal of estate planning is to make sure that the plan reflects your goals, wishes and personal situation. We take a client-centered approach to estate planning, focusing on your individual situation to tailor the plan to best meet your needs. Estate planning can be emotionally and legally challenging. Each situation is different. We guide you through the process with skill, sensitivity and compassion.
Regardless of your wealth, estate planning is important to make sure that your family is taken care of and your financial goals are met after death. Your estate plan should reflect your values and needs in an efficient and cost-effective manner. We will work with your financial and business advisors to coordinate your estate plan with the other areas of your life.
We also help you implement documents, such as Powers of Attorney for financial matters and Health Care Directives, to allow your trusted family members and friends to assist you if you are unable to make decisions for your financial, physical and mental well-being.
When a loved one passes away, the details of administering their wishes can be overwhelming to family members. We can assist with the administration of the Estate or Trust, coordinating with the family to provide for a smooth transition. One-half of our practice is devoted to Estate and Trust Administration. We are well-versed in all aspects of administration, including estate tax returns, distribution of hard-to-value assets, beneficiary agreements, will contests and family conflicts.
Our attorneys and paralegals offer a range of experience and expertise in the following areas:
